Who is Eligible?
Active Duty
Active Military Personnel of any eligible U.S. Military Branch, including:
- National Guard
- Reservists serving on Active Duty
- Members of the Delayed Entry/Enlistment Program (DEP)
- Spouse/Surviving Spouse
- Members within the same household
Retirees
Retired Military Personnel of any eligible U.S. Military Branch, including:
- Regular Retirement
- Reserve Retirement
- Early Retirement (TERA)
- Medical Retirement
- Spouse/Surviving Spouse
- Members within the same household
Veterans
ALL Veterans are eligible.
First Responders
You are eligible to verify as a First Responder if your occupation is any of the following:
- Law Enforcement Officers
- Firefighters
- Emergency Medical Technicians
- 911 Dispatchers

Proof of Eligibility
When verifying your military status, you may be asked to upload military documentation. Verify military eligibility using one of these items listed below:
- Active Duty Service Members: Leave & Earnings Statement (LES), Active duty Enlisted Record Brief (ERB)/Officer Record Brief (ORB), Enlistment Contract
- Veterans: DD214 (Discharge Details Form 214), NGB form 22 (National Guard Bureau similar to a DD214), Veterans Health Identification Card (VHIC), or Veteran Identification Card (VIC), Driver's License or DMV-Issued State ID with VETERAN endorsement
- Retirees: Retiree Account Statement (eRAS), DD214 or NGB form 22 (must show 20 years of service or the reason for discharge was retirement)
- Surviving Spouses & Household members: upload any of the military documents listed in the categories above.
- Surviving Spouses can also submit a Casualty Report (DD Form 1300).
