Not just any used car can be classified as a Ford Blue Advantage (Certified Pre-Owned) vehicle. For a used car to be admitted into the Ford Blue Advantage program, it must pass a detailed multi-point inspection before becoming Gold or Blue Certified.
Gold Certification
A Ford must be less than six years old and have fewer than 80,000 miles to become Gold Certified. A Gold Certified car must pass a rigorous 172-point inspection checklist covering the vehicle from hood to taillamps.
Gold Certification also entitles consumers to a 12-month/12,000-mile Comprehensive Limited Warranty and a 7-year/100,000-mile PowerTrain Limited Warranty.
Blue Certification
A Ford with Blue Certification means that the vehicle may be up to 10 years old, have less than 120,000 miles, and pass a thorough 139-point inspection checklist.
For a Blue Certified Ford, buyers can enjoy a 90-day/4000-mile Comprehensive Limited Warranty.
