2020 F-Series Super Duty

Tremor Off-Road Package
Available for
the newest Ford F-Series Super Duty model, Ford’s newest Tremor Off-Road
Package pushes the boundaries of off-road capability with new hardware and tech
to handle rough terrain, greater towing and payload capacity than ever before
and more damage control capability than most trucks its size.
Now standard on
the for XLT, Lariat, King Ranch and Platinum F-250 and Ford
F-350 Super Duty models, with the all-new 7.3-liter gas V8 or
third-generation 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel engines, this state of the art
off-road package includes a set of aggressive 35-inch-diameter Goodyear Wrangler
Duratrac maximum-traction tires, progressive-rate springs that balance heavy-duty
towing performance needs while also controlling body motion on rutted,
rock-strewn trails, a rear stabilizer bar that is tuned for a lower spring rate
so customers experience less head toss over obstacles during severe suspension
articulation and custom 1.7-inch piston twin-tube dampers to control body
motion and improve responsiveness.
Additional
hardware also includes off-road running boards that tuck up next to the body
for damage control, extended-axle vent tubes and the same beefy skid plates that
were fitted to past FX4 models. Each new Super Duty truck with the Tremor
off-road package also boasts a segment-leading water fording rating of up 33 inches
and offers the best approach and departure angles ever offered on a Super Duty
model.
Selectable Drive Modes
Along with added off-road capabilities the Ford F-Series Super Duty
Tremor off-road package also features selectable drive modes, which allow
customers to choose the setting best suited to your current driving condition. So, whether you are taking your truck around
town, down an icy road or through deep snow/sand trails you can rest assured
that your hard-working truck will get you there even with the largest of
equipment strapped aboard.
Unique to Tremor is a new rock-crawl mode, which is optimized to operate
in 4x4 low and is enabled by the standard TorqShift 10-speed automatic
transmission. Tremor trucks equipped with the 7.3-liter gas engine have a 53:1
crawl ratio while those equipped with the 6.7-liter diesel engine have a 44:1
crawl ratio. These Super Duty models also include the Trail Control mode. A
feature that debuted for the first time with the popular Ford F-150, this driver select mode allows you to handle the toughest of rocky
terrains making it feel like you’re driving down the highway on cruise control.
