Top Features of the 2018 Edge

Top Features of the 2018 Edge
Without being
too ridiculous, there's just about every feature you can think of in the 2018
Ford Edge lineup somewhere. While entry level vehicles appear anything but
entry level, at the higher trim levels of Edge Titanium and Ford Edge Sport the
Ford starts to rival premium luxury SUVs costing considerably more. A quick
glance at the size of the owner's manual tells us a book can be written about
the features and equipment available in the Edge because that's what it is. But
here are some of the top Ford Edge features to look out for when deciding which
model is right for you.
Design
Don’t take our
word for how good the design of the Ford Edge is. The 2018 Edge has a sleek
roof, aerodynamic shape and commanding profile, the Edge is a modern design
that turns heads and instantly commands respect.
Panoramic Vista Roof
There's already a spacious and airy feel to the inside of the Edge, but the available Panoramic Vista Roof gives an entirely new feel to sitting inside the Ford SUV. The roof has a large forward panel that can be tilted up or fully opened as well as a
fixed rear skylight. It therefore doesn’t matter whether you’re sitting in the front or the back, the Vista Roof lets in more of the outside world from above.
Ambient Lightning
No longer just the preserve of luxury vehicles costing more than the average buyer can afford, LED ambient lighting is now available in the Ford Edge SUV to illuminate areas of the vehicle such as the front footwells, front cupholders, door handles and the center console. You can choose lighting to fit your mood with the available programmable seven-color ambient lighting that standard on Titanium and Sport models. The colors available to you are Ice Blue, orange, soft blue, red, green, blue or purple.
Sync 3
Ford's latest Sync 3 is one of the most all-encompassing infotainment systems in the current market, which even includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility to get the features of your smartphone through the Edge's touchscreen. The Siri voice-activated assistant is also there to interact with your iPhone or Google to interact with your Android while keeping your eyes on the road and hands on the wheel. As well as being fun and useful, Sync 3 can also be considered a further aid to in-vehicle safety.

Safety
Think of a modern safety feature and you can probably find it somewhere in the Ford Edge family. From all the expected features such as ABS brakes and traction control, to more advanced safety features such as Ford's Lane-Keeping System, BLIS with Cross-Traffic Alert and even a front 180-degree camera with washer, it's all available here in the Ford Edge.
Performance
At the heart of the 2018 Ford Edge are three different engines providing more than enough power and attitude under the hood. They include a turbocharged and direct-injected twin-scroll 2.0-liter EcoBoost unit, the powerful 3.5 -liter Ti-VCT, and the athletic 2.7-liter EcoBoost. All three powerplants have been designed, engineered and manufactured to deliver all the power, performance and fuel efficiency demanded from a modern, capable and user-friendly midsize SUV
