There are only a few things in life that are more frustrating than owning a car or technology that you can't rely on. It might look fancy and shiny, but if it leaves you stranded or lost it's not worth a dime. That's why the team at Southern California Ford Dealers is so excited about the Ford F-150, Ford Mustang, and SYNC® 3 system topping the 2020 J.D. Power Vehicle Dependability Study. As you might know, since 1968, J.D. Power has been the global customer experience benchmarking authority. Their yearly ratings and awards direct millions of people to the right product especially when it comes to cars, trucks, and SUVs. Southern California Ford Dealers thought it would be a perfect time to take a closer look at the 2020 J.D. Power Vehicle Dependability Study, and why our products made the cut.

Highlights from the J.D. Power Vehicle Dependability Study

This year's dependability study from J.D. Power measures problems experienced during the past 12 months by original owners of three-year-old model-year vehicles. The 2020 study shows that overall Ford ranks in the top-10 of brand rankings as well the Ford F-150 tops the large light-duty pickup truck segment and Ford Mustang takes the top spot in the sporty midsize car segment. Ford's exclusive SYNC® 3 made a big leap as it vaulted up six spots from last year’s study and now is in a third-place tie among all automakers for dependability. According to Linda Cash, Ford VP of Quality and New Model Launch Program,

"…high quality means more than a great experience in the first few months of ownership; it includes a great experience throughout a customer’s ownership journey, and these results affirm our commitment to building high-quality vehicles."
