2019 Ford Ranger XL Features and Specs
Are you ready for an adventure that you will never forget? Get to your Ford dealer in Southern California to enjoy the return of one of the most adventurous and legendary Ford trucks in the lineup.
Ford Ranger XL
First released in the United States and Canada as a compact pickup truck, the Ford Ranger became the basis for many popular Ford trucks and SUVS, including the Ford Bronco as well as the first two generations of the Ford Explorer and the first-generation Ford Explorer Sport Trac.
Despite its popularity, Ford ceased the production of the Ranger in 2011. After a rest of eight years, the Ranger is driving out of the grave to become a strong new choice for midsize truck fans. Beginning with the 2019 Ford Ranger XL, which opens the proverbial door to all kinds of new adventures, this more than basic Ford truck model offers more than just your average truck.
Gutsy and Efficient
Powered by a gutsy 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine that provides plenty of power and is designed for full efficiency, the Ford Ranger XL offers more than all its past models. For added durability, this engine also features a forged-steel crankshaft and connecting rods, and chain-driven dual overhead cams that make at least 270 HP and when properly equipped up to 7,500-lbs* of tow ratings.
Although not as heavily equipped as the best-selling Ford F-150, the return of this legendary Ford truck does offer some impressive features. Along with 16-inch steel wheels and a manually locking tailgate, this adventure-ready truck also offers the best capability features ever. Like most Ford trucks that are Built Ford Tough, the Ford Ranger XL includes adventure ready features like electronic-locking rear differential that delivers all the traction you need when driving off-road. Tack this on with available Trail Control, which is like off-road cruise control, and four selectable drive modes – normal, sand, mud/ruts and grass/gravel/snow – and you can rest assured that total control is possible no matter where the adventure.
Ford Co-Pilot360 Technology
Like most new Ford truck models the 2019 Ford Ranger XL also offers the Ford Co-Pilot360 driver-assist technologies that will assist you in the navigation of increasingly crowded roads and highways with greater confidence thanks to features like the Blind Spot Information System with Cross-Traffic Alert and coverage for both a truck and trailer, Lane-Keep and Pre-Collision Assist and a Rear-View Camera.
Additional technology features include Ford’s easy-to-use, responsive voice-activated SYNC 3 system that features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. An available FordPass Connect 4G LTE modem also provides Wi-Fi access for up to 10 devices. Available AC power outlets even allow for charging of laptops and USB outlets provide more options for passengers to connect.
