There is tough and then there is the 2019 Ford F-150. This class-leading, light-duty full-size pickup truck, which is available in seven trim levels and 4x2 and 4x4 drive, is at the same time both lighter and stronger thanks to its military-grade 6000 series aluminum-alloy cab and bed. Like many of the Ford trucks found at the dealerships we represent at Southern California Ford Dealers, the 2019 Ford F-150 is also exceptionally versatile. That's why we thought it would be a great idea to take a closer look at five of the more popular 2019 Ford F-150 trims.

2019 Ford F-150 XL

This base trim is anything but basic. The 2019 Ford F-150 XL, which seats six, comes standard with a 3.3-liter Ti-VCT V6 engine that delivers 290 horsepower and 265 lb.-ft. of torque. 2019 Ford F-150 XLT

Much like the XL, a standard 3.3-liter Ti-VCT V6 engine and a six-speed transmission power Ford F-150 XLT. Some of the major differences include 17-inch silver-painted aluminum wheels, chrome two-bar style grille with chrome nostrils, black surround and black background mesh, available Twin Panel Moonroof, color-coordinated carpet with carpeted floor mats, power door locks, and standard SYNC 3 infotainment system and FordPass Connect with WiFi hotspot.

2019 Ford F-150 Lariat

When you step up to the 2019 Ford F-150 Lariat, the first thing you'll notice is the standard 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 engine that kicks out 325 horsepower, 400 lb.-ft. of torque. Another standard performance upgrade is the electronic 10-speed transmission with tow/haul, snow/wet, EcoSelect, and Sport modes. Drivers will also enjoy the Enhanced Security pack, dual-zone electronic automatic temperature control, and Intelligent Access with Push-Button Start MyKey.

2019 Ford F-150 XL vs XLT vs Lariat vs King Ranch vs Platinum

2019 Ford F-150 King Ranch

The 2019 Ford F-150 King Ranch takes performance to the next level with the standard 5.0-liter Ti-VCT V8 engine that creates a robust 395 horsepower and 400 lb.-ft. of torque. The King Ranch shines with some sporty18-inch machined-aluminum wheels with Flash Gray pockets and Caribou King Ranch logo ornament and unique genuine wood interior trim accents. Other differences from lower trim levels to look out for are a standard B&O Sound System by Bang & Olufsen, voice-activated navigation with SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link, and Trailer Brake Controller.

2019 Ford F-150 Platinum

Near the top of the 2019 Ford F-150 trim levels is the aptly named Platinum. This exclusive pickup comes with larger 20-inch polished aluminum wheels as well as standard BLIS (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross-Traffic Alert and inflatable second-row safety belts.
