The best-selling truck in North America continues to improve with each passing year and 2018 is no different. The 2018 Ford F-150, coming this fall, will now be stronger than ever thanks to a series of engine upgrades, which are all designed to improve both power and fuel economy.

Engine Upgrades
Accenting the engine updates for the stronger 2018 Ford F-150, is the base 3.3-liter V6, which replaces the former 3.5-liter V-6. With the addition of port injection this engine is capable of 290 HP and up to 265 lb.-ft. of torque.

The returning 2.7-liter twin-turborcharged EcoBoost V6 engine, which also adds port-injection to the already available direct-injection technology, even produces an impressive 400 lb.-ft. of torque.

The most exciting news in Ford F-150 engine upgrades is the addition of the 3.0-liter Power Stroke diesel V6 engine.

Beastly Features
Along with new exterior colors, the 2018 Ford F-150 also includes beastly new features like a muscular new grille and headlights, an embossed tailgate and new wheel designs that range in size from 17-inches to 22-inches.

For 2018, the Ford F-150 becomes the first Ford vehicle to include premium B&O PLAY audio system, which features 10-speakers, AM/FM stereo, and a single-CD/MP3 player.
An available SYNC Connect System, which allows the driver to remotely lock and unlock their F-150 or even start its engine all from the FordPass smart phone app.
A 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot is available with the ability to connect up to 10 devices at a time.
Other driver assistance and convenience features like adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go technology; Auto Start-Stop Technology, which can help reduce fuel consumption and vehicle emissions during city driving; automatic emergency braking and an optional pre-collision system with pedestrian detection.

The Toughest Service Vehicles Available
The newly introduced 2018 Ford F-150 Special Service Vehicle even includes two of the toughest, smartest and most capable engines available. Powered by a choice of a second-generation 3.5-liter EcoBoost or a powerful 5.0-liter V8, which can produce up to 385 HP and 400 lb.-ft. of torque. Each engine is paired to a segment-exclusive 10-speed automatic transmission that delivers improved acceleration and performance over the previous six-speed automatics. Along with the addition of Auto Start-Stop for greater fuel efficiency these new and improved service vehicles even include a high-output 240-amp alternator, which replaces the stock unit to accommodate extended idle times and meet the demands for additional on-board electrical power these vehicles.
