Wide and Assertive Stance
From its wide stance and sporty design cues, Taurus makes a powerful statement. The bold grille complements the distinctive front end. Adding to that look are signature LED lamps and sculpted lines that communicate motion even when Taurus is parked..
Exclusive to the Taurus SHO, high-intensity discharge (HID) headlamps last longer and use less energy than conventional halogen bulbs. In the automatic position, when you turn on your windshield wipers, the headlamps are activated. Lamps automatically come on when ambient light is low enough. Projector-beam halogen headlamps help provide a focused beam, providing excellent brightness and range of visibility. With the standard autolamp on/off delay controls, you can set the switch to the automatic mode and the headlamps come on when the lighting diminishes. Also available on the Limited and SHO models are auto high-beam headlamps that detect vehicle light sources. When lights are sensed, the system returns to the low-beam setting.
Chrome-Tipped Dual Exhaust
A chrome-tipped dual exhaust system adds a sporty flair to the sculpted rear lines of the Taurus SE, SEL and Limited models. SHO is engineered with a dual exhaust system – each of the engine’s two exhaust manifolds has its own exhaust pipe, reducing back pressure and enhancing horsepower.
These 20-inch wheels complement the sporty look of the Taurus.
• 20-inch machined aluminum low gloss wheels, optional on Taurus SEL, Limited and SHO (shown)
• 20-inch polished aluminum, optional on Taurus Limited
• 20-inch machined aluminum with painted pockets, standard on Taurus SHO
Sweeping Center Console
The center console, an integral component of the instrument panel, needs to be not only attractive but also highly functional, with controls that are easy to reach and operate. The sweeping design of the center console in Taurus flows into a stylish center stack to maximize space and enhance ergonomic convenience.

*EPA-estimated rating of 18 city/27 hwy/21 combined mpg, FWD. Actual mileage will vary.
3.5L EcoBoost® Engine
Taurus SHO is equipped with a standard 3.5L EcoBoost engine. It combines two different technologies – turbocharging and direct injection. It generates 365 horsepower and 350 lb.-ft. of torque across a wide 1,500-5,000 rpm range.*

2.0L EcoBoost® Engine
The available 2.0L EcoBoost engine has an EPA-estimated rating of 29 hwy mpg.* It combines direct injection and turbocharging with twin independent variable-camshaft timing (Ti-VCT). The result is 240 horsepower** and 270 lb.-ft. of torque**, performance you would expect from a larger engine. Available on SE, SEL and Limited models.

Six-Speed SelectShift® Automatic with Shifter Button Activation
The Taurus SE, SEL and Limited models feature the six-speed SelectShift automatic transmission lets you override automatic operation and enjoy the sporty performance feel of a manual with total control over gear selection. The Taurus SHO has race-inspired steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters for changing gears easily and quickly.
Torque Vectoring Control and Curve Control
Torque Vectoring Control and Curve Control,* standard on all Taurus models, are two innovative enhancements to AdvanceTrac® with electronic stability control (ESC). Torque Vectoring Control uses the braking system to imitate the effect of a torque vectoring differential. In particular, when accelerating through corners, it applies braking to the front inside wheel, so more of the engine torque goes to the outside wheel, which has more grip. Curve Control will slow your vehicle when it senses that you’re going too fast into a particular curve. Employing throttle reduction and four-wheel braking intervention, it’s always active in helping you maintain control. *Remember that even advanced technology cannot overcome the laws of physics. It’s always possible to lose control of a vehicle due to inappropriate driver input for the conditions.
Available Navigation System with SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link
The available Navigation System with SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link34 combines Global Positioning System (GPS) technology with 3-D mapping and provides voice-guided turn-by-turn directions. With SiriusXM Traffic and SiriusXM Travel Link, you’ll get detailed traffic information, plus current and forecast weather, gas station locations and prices, sports scores and schedules, and theater locations with movie listings and times.
